Oh hell, black widow in the basement.  While tearing up a couch this tiny fiddle-backed, long-legged beauty had to be stepped on.  It was a boy.   That's the first black widow I've had to kill.  I hope his sisters aren't in that couch.  Gloves.  Always wear the kid gloves.  I'm so sorry.

"Nature respects only evidence...I think this takes us to the very nature of photography.  Perhaps the most peculiar and distinguishing characteristic is that you can never photograph a thing.  What you're essentially photographing is how it is related to a great many other things.  So it seems like photography was environmental long before the word got to be a fetish.  And it can't be anything else"

Began mini-arranging for a project I've been kicking around.  All through my life, rearranging furniture has been a way to change circumstance, relieve stress.  It started with my mom, who has the same habit,  exacerbated but not to the point of compulsion.  No need to exaggerate.
I also am a professional house-cleaner (if the definition of professional means paid, than I am much more of a maid than an artist).  I'm collecting furniture for a performance set.  These are a few shots of me with MY things.  Not very much here, a sparse grouping that makes me lonely.  The set itself will be much more about sublime accumulation.
Working on my application skills,  something I feel woefully terrible at.  But it's getting better.

I'm in bed, wondering a chicken bone of an argument,
the question of whether humans are basically good or bad.
This one always sucks me up and breaks me down to
some glowering black hole.
Because I argue they are inherently good,
i do,
proof being that
we are just creatures, and could
possibly advance the constructs of baby religions,
aka monotheism,
and money, aka detached capital,
but then another look, and I know the time constraints,
think of my life, their livers, tissues,
the spinning wheel, ceaseless reverberations. unrest.
Then again, I recognize the greys,
lack of absolute, and so soothed, sleep.
