Got a space!
First Friday (Dec. 4th) opening:
121 S. Gay St.
Come celebrate our favorite human pastimes;
eating, drinking and the great escapism of mindful obsessiveness.
For me, it's been like hide and seek, peek-a-f*cking boo, a child's game with all those temper tantrums trying to make things right without knowing what's what. And getting those sweet phoenix moments of catching the stride.
Anyways, here they are hometown, Knoxville, place of my birth:
My great escapes!

Really though, everyday we live
in our little rooms, cars, spaces, thinking, talking
about work or the apocalypse or how we feel,
wishing we were somewhere else or loving the moment.
Looking for the patterns so we could glimpse the future.
I wish we could all get together and sing kumbayah mo-fo's,
so let's.

Paintings, a patio with music, homemade food, boxed wine, and the hottest hostesses ever to grace an art show. I know that's enough to get you there.
I'll have prints to paw through in case you want to pick a present for someone.
And the big paintings are for sale too, if you happen to be rich.

There will be a sign-up list for interested artists, organizations, and property owners concerning ideas and spaces for future installations (a meeting will be held Sat. Dec. 12th).

Love,
Karley
Oh, please do come!

The photo was taken around 6 am on Christmas of 2008 off a random exit between Knoxville and the Kentucky line.

This is the resultant painting. The photograph of the painting was taken under less than perfect circumstance, and unfortunately some nice details are lost in the dark underside.  These paintings feel like they are the same size as me, substituting some inches for mass...huh, that's literal.
